Who is Doodle, you ask? Doodle is one of the four lambs (sheep) who make up the McLamby family. He lives in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, and this is his blog. That's right; life from a lamb's point of view. Doodle, and his brother Snowball, were orphaned lambs and raised on bottles...first in the garage and backyard of their people ("Dad" and "Mom")...then out in the big field with their "Uncles" Rosebud and Shermy, two big Cheviot sheep who are also...er...pet sheep. Sometimes it's just fine for someone to have no other purpose in life but to live and be one of God's creatures. That's Doodle, Snowball, Rosebud, and Shermy. Welcome to their world!

Cookie Pockets of Love

And here we see Snowball...
Hey Mom! I smell cookies!
Mom! I know you have cookies. Can't I have just one?

So close...and yet...

Mom, if you loved me...
Fine. I don't really want cookies anyway!

Yes I do! Yes I do!

I love you, Mom.
And your cookies!
Snowball. He's ridiculous. But we love him, too.

Web-Sized Doodle

Here we see me, Doodle.  I am showing you how I can make my ears be perfectly straight and in alignment.
And here we see me receiving scritches from Dad.
In this photo, I am a web-sized Doodle.

Lamb? What Lamb??

And here we see Snowball, being his usual sneaky self. See him behind Dad? Dad just gave him a cookie. Both Dad and Snowball think no one saw them. Well, Mom and I saw them! When we asked about it, both Dad and Snowball said, "Lamb? What lamb?" Sheesh!

Snow Doodle

Here we see me, braving the winter weather and eating through the snow. We're not having snow yet this year... at least, not where we are. But I'm getting ready in my mind. I'm remembering all about that white stuff so it won't scare me take my by surprise when it comes!

Here we see me, Doodle, trudging through the snow like a trooper.
When I was little, we had to walk five miles through the snow, uphill both ways, just to go to school...

Be a Good Neighbour

This is me, Doodle, going up to the neighbour's back door. I just wanted to say HI, and to look in the window. They weren't home. Mom says that was a good thing. I wonder why? They might have had cookies!

Tandem Eating

This is me and Snowball. We're eating to get ready for winter. This is not us THIS year. I will ask Mom to post a photo of the big lambies we have become. But we're still doing the same thing this year: getting ready for winter.

The weather has changed. We don't need a weatherman to tell US! We are well in tune with nature, and we can tell that warm days are pretty much gone and we better get a nice layer of fat under our wool coats.
You should try it!

I Wasn't Kidding

Snowball really did eat in the back of the car... for a long time. This may explain why he is so spoiled now!

Life isn't fair.
Even lambs experience this truth.

As I Was Saying...

We're baaa....ack!
We've all had a very busy life since the last time my secretary wrote my post for me. It's hard for a Doodle to keep up! But anyway... we were busy seeing Snowball in his own private dining car, if you remember...

Snowball seems to think there is nothing wrong with this.
Is there?
I'm not sure.
I know I can't fit into the back of Mom and Dad's car.
Well, maybe I could.
But I'm not gonna try it!

Uncle Rosebud and Uncle Shermy think Snowball is ridiculous.
(I think they might be right!)

Snowball thinks he's being cute...
but see Uncle Rosebud in the background?
He's saying
